Honoring Harry Johnson: Founding Board Member and Former Chair

This month, we bid a heartfelt farewell to a leader whose vision and dedication have shaped our organization from its earliest days. Harry Johnson, a founding board member and our former Board Chair, is stepping down from the board after 13 years of steadfast service.

From the very beginning, Harry brought wisdom, passion, and unwavering commitment to advancing our mission. His leadership helped guide APDM through moments of growth and challenge, ensuring that we remained rooted in our values while always looking ahead. As Board Chair, he provided thoughtful stewardship, championed collaboration, and inspired us to strive toward a stronger, more just future.

We were proud to recognize Harry's service at our recent Meet and Greet for the Pauli Murray Fellowship Program. It was especially meaningful to celebrate his contributions in a space dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders—something that reflects his own legacy of building, mentoring, and sustaining this work.

While Harry is stepping away from the board, his impact will continue to resonate. His years of service have helped ensure that APDM will thrive for years to come.
