Welcoming the Newest Additions to Our Board of Directors



We are thrilled to announce the newest additions to our APDM family! As we continue to strive for excellence in fulfilling our mission, we are excited to welcome 3 remarkable individuals to our esteemed board of directors. Each new member brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication that will contribute to the impact and growth of APDM.


Meet Our New Board Members:

  1. Rebecca Fix, PhD - An Assistant Professor at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, Rebecca work focuses on racial bias in the juvenile justice system and to improve culturally-informed care for children who use violence.

  2. Gordon Pack- A tireless advocate on behalf of returning citizens, Gordon currently serves as a Parole Advocate for PREPARE. Prior to being released under the Juvenile Restoration Act, Gordon served 43 years after being arrested at the age of 15.

  3. Zachary Warren, Esq.- A partner at Williams & Connolly LLP, Zach represents clients in complex civil and criminal matters. In addition to his practice, Zach heads the firm’s pro bono criminal defense program where firm lawyers represent OPD clients in felony trials.


At APDM we believe in the power of collaboration and diversity of thought. Each of our new board members shares a common commitment to strengthening the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, the clients that they serve, and the broader community. Additionally, the newest members of our board not only embody our core values but also bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table. Their combined expertise will enhance our strategic decision-making and further propel our mission.


As we embark on this exciting journey with our new board members, we express our gratitude for their willingness to contribute their time, skills, and energy to our mission.
